2025 Technology Gift Ideas for Legal Professionals

It’s hard to believe that 2025 is nearly over. And what a year it’s been! The newscycle was constant, with headlines changing by the hour. Every day, a new geopolitical event occurred, and technology advanced at unprecedented rates. Blink, and you missed the latest and greatest (or not-so-great) news update or technology innovation.

As the year draws to a close, the Northeast is already covered with snow, the winter holidays are nearly here, and 2026 is just around the corner.

You know what that means! It’s time to buy holiday presents for your loved ones, legal colleagues, and officemates. If you’ve got a few technophiles on your list, then look no further. Below, you’ll find my top holiday gift recommendations for tech-savvy legal professionals. From office tech to travel gadgets, there’s sure to be something for just about everyone!

Let’s start with book suggestions. Generative artificial intelligence (AI) was released just three years ago and has already become ubiquitous, both at work and at home. Understanding how it works and how to use it ethically and safely is no longer optional. For many, the rate of change has been overwhelming. Figure out where to start is often the biggest challenge. These two books are a great place to start and would be a great gift for the legal professional in your life.

First up, A Lawyer's Guide to AI: Ten Essential Concepts, By Matthew T. Henshon. Published by the American Bar Association, this book explains the how and why of AI, including the practical, technical, ethical, and legal issues encountered when using and advising clients about AI.

Another helpful book is How to Think About AI: A Guide for the Perplexed, written by legal technology expert and futurist Richard Susskind. This book offers a non-technical, easy-to-understand overview of AI. It covers the history of the technology, its benefits and risks, and what we can expect in the years to come as AI transforms the world we live and work in.

For the traveler in your life, there are a number of products that I highly recommend, all of which make travel, whether for work or pleasure, so much easier. First, a foldable magnetic wireless charger for your Apple devices. This charger takes up very little space and fits right into a pocket in carry-ons or luggage. It lies flat and can charge an iPhone, AirPods, and an Apple Watch simultaneously, ensuring that devices never run out of battery power on the road.

Speaking of AirPods, if the lawyer in your life doesn’t yet have a pair of AirPods Pro 3, they’d make the perfect holiday gift. These noise-cancelling headphones block out the chaos of travel, and also offer live translation, heart rate sensing, hearing aid functionalities, and more. With all these new features recently released, there’s no better time to buy a pair than now! (

The AirFly Pro 2 is a great companion for the AirPods. It is a transmitter that converts headphone jacks into Bluetooth 5.3 transmitters for wireless headphones, such as AirPods. This compact device allows travelers to watch in-flight entertainment on airplane seatbacks while wearing wireless headphones. The convenience can’t be beat!

Finally, another great option for frequent travelers is the Lisen MagSafe airplane phone holder mount. It can be clipped to tray tables and connects to phones with a powerful magnet. This portable device snaps into place, allowing easy phone rotation for improved viewing. (

As you look ahead to the holidays and start sorting through your gift list, keep in mind that small upgrades can make a big difference. Technology moved fast this year, and keeping up hasn’t always been simple, especially for legal professionals juggling packed schedules and constant demands. The tools and gadgets above can lighten the load and make work and travel just a bit easier. And if they also happen to bring a little joy along the way, even better!
